About This Shower Door Replacement Magnet
Shower door magnets help provide magnetic contact between compatible shower door components. If an existing magnet becomes rusty, damaged or worn, replacing it with a correctly sized part may help restore the magnetic connection.
This replacement magnet measures 2-1/2 inches long, 3/8 inch wide and 1/8 inch thick. It is described as a rare earth NdFeB magnet, a type of magnet known for its strong magnetic properties.
Key Features and Benefits
1. Compact Replacement Size
With a length of 2-1/2 inches, this magnet is designed for compatible shower door strike jamb applications. Check your existing magnet’s measurements before purchasing.
2. Rare Earth NdFeB Construction
The magnet uses neodymium iron boron (NdFeB) material. It is designed to provide strong magnetic attraction for compatible shower door assemblies.
3. Designed for Swing Shower Doors
This replacement magnet is described as suitable for many swing shower doors and compatible shower door magnetic components. Actual fit depends on the original assembly and dimensions.
4. Straightforward Replacement Process
The suggested installation process involves removing the old magnet and cleaning away leftover debris, rust and glue from the door track before fitting the replacement.
5. Handle with Care
NdFeB magnets can be brittle and may break if dropped, struck or forced into position. Handle the magnet gently during installation and everyday use.
Installation Guide
- Check that the replacement magnet matches the dimensions and shape of your existing part.
- Carefully remove the old damaged or rusty magnet.
- Clean the fitting area and remove leftover debris, rust or adhesive.
